Ken's Bio

I came to Roanoke in 1985 after graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree from the Industrial Engineering Department in Furniture Manufacturing and Management. At the same time I married Stacy, and together we remodeled a condemned home in our spare time and then lived in it and raised three awesome kids. I worked at Rowe Furniture for over ten years moving through the management trainee program, to engineering and finally to product development where I implemented CAD into the corporation's product design, designed multiple upholstery frames for new products, and finally initiated and implemented the installation of CNC machinery in the frame manufacturing factories to help increase productivity and lower product costs.

After realizing that the corporate world just wasn't for me, I began a twelve year employment with Joe Miller at EJ Miller Construction - one of the area's most highly regarded custom home builders. I helped Joe by acting as Project Manager of virtually all of the company's jobs through the years, and gained a thorough understanding of the construction world and its nuances. We built custom homes (some priced over $1,000,000), extensively remodeled several homes, built additions, completed some commercial jobs, installed pools and completed many other types of construction jobs. I interacted with our customers, scheduled sub-contractors and other work on the job, and supervised our own carpenters and painters. I used Microsoft Project and AutoCAD among other programs to help communicate information and get the jobs completed in an efficient manner. Quality is Joe's top goal, and there is no better custom home builder in the area.

In the fall of 2008, I decided it would meet my personal goals to establish my own business and see what I can do with it. I hope you will give me the chance to provide you with a service in remodeling that truly is a unique offering; a 100% guarantee and the ability to get the work you need done in a very efficient time period. I have put together a group of fantastic and talented people and suppliers who are committed to providing the best quality and service available.

Some of you may be aware that I recently (Nov 2014 to Oct 2017) volunteered to oversee construction of a new hospital/clinic in the Dominican Republic. It was an amazing experience and I am continung to help with this wonderful project whose sole purpose is to help the poorest of the poor in the mountains of the DR near Haiti. You can find out more HERE.

Thanks for reading up about me - Stacy and I have loved raising our family in the Roanoke Valley, and we are happy to be starting a new venture with such a unique promise. I am just very excited about offering a service that solves the one dilemma homeowners have about remodeling -time.

I have a Class A Contractors license in the State of Virginia, so I have the legal ability

to build any size project, but I am not interested in the "glamorous" home building industry,

I want to provide something new and different in the construction world

- so we specialize in KITCHEN and BATH REMODELING

offering a SERVICE that just can't be beat.
